My name is Thais Helena and I'm 25 years old. I'm Brazilian and I live with my mother and my sweet cat in Poços de Caldas, which it's a beautiful and charming touristic city in the south state of Minas Gerais, close to São Paulo City.

I am the only child, raised by my lovely mother and grandmother. I'm a very communicative person, creative, funny, caring and I always love life very much and try lo live the best of it. People often say that I have a good and vital energy, I like to believe them. I'm a fair person and that's the reason I value the right things such as helping other people, while I go after and work to fulfill my dreams. I'm a organized, polite, patient, generous, affectionate and I adapt very easy.
I love animals, in special my cat Amèlie. I love sports, I competed in swimming, running, crossfit, basketball throughout High School and college. I love travelling and meet new places and people. I love museums, cinema, coffee shops and a very big mug of a Brazilian coffee in the morning. I also love to take photos, to study and I really, really love music and all about culture and art. I think it is so fascinating!
I'm always open to learn new things and I have always been attracted by foreign languages and different cultures in the world, that is the reason why I'm trying to have a new experience in another country.
I love kids and I've always been sorrounded by so many of them. My family and friends use to tell me that I have something special that makes the children to be around me all the time. That's why I'm pretty sure you can trust me to take care of your children.
Portuguese is my native language, but I've studying English ever since elementary school and now I'm taking French lessons too.
For a long time, I dreamed and hoped for a moment that I could meet other places around the world, because I ‘ve always been fascinated by the ideia of living and experiencing new cultures, new languages, new different ways of life, and learn with it. I've been investing a great part of my life planning and studying for this opportunity to come, and I believe this is the right moment.
I understand that being an Au Pair is a great responsibility, but at the same time it is an incredible opportunity to realize a dream, to share incredible moments, doing something that I love which is taking care of children, which has always been a passion for me. Adultos learn a lot from the sincerity, simplicity and vision that a child have about the world.
I think this would be a unique experience for me and something that would really help me grow as a person and still share with the host Family the immense Brazilian culture. I found in this program an opportunity to be performing a big dream, I hope you help me this come true and I promise that I will do my best to be not just a baby-sitter, but also a friend to your family.
