UPBEAT NANNY LOOKING FOR A FAMILY TO BECOME A PART OF starting JAN 2018
Dear family,
My name is Jo and I am a bubbly 23 year old British, female Nanny. I have 7 years of a wide range of childcare experience all over the world (nannying, au pairing, tutoring and babysitting) and I am looking for a Live-In position to start January 2018 in London.
I am musical, artistic, sporty and I also have lots of experience in teaching children so can assist with guitar lessons, sports and languages. I am a confident driver (with experience in numerous countries), I speak French well and I am a good horse rider. I also have experience with babies and children, aged 3 months - 14 years old. I also have a Paediatric 12 Hour Infant / Child First Aid Level 3 certificate and an up to date DBS Certificate. As a person I am very upbeat, outgoing, and confident. I am also very loving and warm so I like to treat my role as a nanny more like a big sister/auntie role - I like to become part of the family.
I have spent the past 5 years travelling the world, working with children, animals and working in hospitality/gigging with my guitar. I am a singer songwriter, which is always fun to incorporate in my nannying. I am also very bold in trying new things - I worked on a cattle station in Australia for example and I have also done a month's salsa dancing. So I like variety, I like a challenge but more than anything I am extremely passionate about children and nurturing them so they grow into their full potential in this rapidly changing world.
Now most CV cover letters may include the words “hardworking”, “reliable” and “always on time” but having worked in a wide variety of fields (and having nannied all round the world) I am fully aware that these qualities are the bare minimum that is required when caring for someone's children. “Looking after kids” is not the only thing that being a Nanny entails. Not only is a Nanny responsible for the life and welfare of another human being but she also has a major influence on their upbringing and mental growth and development. Children's minds are like sponges so it is important to provide them with a warm, caring and stimulating environment. As a musical, sporty, creative, outdoorsy, upbeat person I believe this is something at which I excel.
I've always been passionate about and enjoyed doing a broad range of activities and things. I'm a team player, who loves creativity, music and art, thrives in competitive sports, loves animals and being outdoors adventuring, and is also rather good on the computer. I like an organised home, I am naturally tidy but on top of that I am a massive teddy bear, who has a lot of love to give and if there's one thing I've learnt from caring for children, all children need love.
I will not just be “the help” or an “employee”, I will become a part of your family, and I will care for your children as if they were my own.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Joanna Carron-Brown
