Hola!

My name is Sara, and I am 18 years old. I was born in Rome, my father is Italian and my mother is Spanish. So I speak both languages fluently. I now live with my mom in Spain. I also have a 10 year old brother, he lives with my father in Italy, and I visit him every summer, and always make sure we have the best time possible.

Creativity is one of my assets, and once I pick something up it's very easy for me to become passionate about it. Among many things, I like drawing, arts & crafts, surfing, photography, and cooking. I am flexible and can adapt rather easily. Other people have called me a family person, sweet, and affectionate. And I really take those compliments to heart.

I have been a babysitter in the past with a family where I have helped the kids with things such as homework and I have also been off aid in the household. Another experience I learned from, was being an intern at a primary school for one season. I helped the children with their homework, their lunch, going to the bathroom or playing games. The thing I liked the most was teaching the children new things. What I really appreciate about children is their openness and honesty.

I am currently in the last year of high school and am graduating next June of 2015. After my au pair experience I want to study Minorities and Multilingualism at the University of Groningen. Because I am interested in learning about new cultures and getting to know new people, I thought becoming an au pair would be the perfect opportunity to get to know the Netherlands.
