Very Experienced Nanny/Au Pair/piano teacher/English Teacher from England, aged 21, looking for a placement October 2016 - April 2017 in Paris/Versailles/Hauts-de-Seine
I have got a job working as an English language Teaching Assistant in Lycée Alexandre Dumas, Saint-Cloud, Hauts-de-Seine, and will be working 12 hours a week in this Lycée from October 2016 - April 2017. However, I am only working 12 hours a week, therefore will have a lot of free time and am looking for an au pair position in Paris/Hauts-de-Seine/Versailles in order to help with childcare and learning English in the evenings and at weekends. I won't have my exact timetable with the Lycée until the beginning of October, however will definitely be able to provide childcare assistance in early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
I have worked as an au pair 3 times, with the same family in Madrid the last 2 summers, and before that with another family in France! I love spending time with children: my first experience as an au pair was with a lovely 8 year old little girl, and I loved teaching her to play the piano and helping her really improve her english and confidence speaking it! My second experience with a Spanish family who I have stayed with twice for 6 months in total, had younger children (6 months, 2yrs and 4yrs the first year), and it was so incredibly fulfilling witnessing these little children who didn't speak any English learn so fast!!
I am currently at the University of Warwick, studying English and French, therefore feel I have a more advanced understanding of language learning which really helps me in my positions as an au pair.
I have volunteered in a school in Bali, teaching English to underprivileged children, and I currently work part-time with children, going into schools and talking to them about university, whilst motivating them to work hard with their studies and encouraging their ambitions. I also have worked with children in care, an experience in which i had to overcome new challenged. I have worked part-time for two years as a piano teacher and I really enjoy finding ways to create excitement for children through learning, as well as motivating them to practise and improve.
In addition to my love for working with children, I love working the cultural experience of working as an au pair in a foreign country. I appreciate the responsibility i would have in this important role.
