My name is Kate and I'm a ball of fun. I come from a small city near Toronto, Canada. I love to read, hike, swim and be creative. I am the eldest of three girls, one of which is a diabetic. I love to cook and be creative in the kitchen. I am a very open and outgoing young woman. I have a sweet disposition and kind heart. I have a love and knack for children.
A few years ago I lived in Perth, Australia as an au pair to a fantastic family of 7. They have 4 boys aged 2, 6, 8 and 10. I fell in love with them instantly and was welcomed into the family as if i'd been there my entire life. I also lived in the South of France for a few months with a family of 5. I had such an amazing experience with both of these families and I truly hope that I can find the same thing in another. My responsibilities were numerous (I did just about everything and anything needed). I felt like an older sister or stand in mother at times! I have gained the nickname SuperKate and hope to live up to it in my next home!
I have worked with children in many different settings. I have been a teachers assistant in a grade 5 classroom. While there I assisted with lesson plans as well as created my own. I worked one on one with children that have learning disabilities and needed extra attention. I have worked with children that have varying severity of disabilities from severe autism to ADHD.
I also have previous nanny experience. I was a nanny to 5 children under the age of 5. I prepared meals, created fun and engaging activities, maintained routine and took the children on outings.
I have housekeeping experience and know how to maintain a household. I am comfortable and accustom to working with children with special needs and that require special medical attention.
I have a drivers licence and first aid certificate. I am a fun, loving and warm person . I love making people laugh and having a good time. I would love the experience of living in yet a another country while doing something I love and am good at.
My significant other is a certified plumber and looking for jobs with in his union abroad. He is just as warm and caring as I am. He is very handy and great with odd jobs around the house. He has plenty of childcare experience working with summer camps and with his adorable nieces.
We are looking to find a family that will allow us to be live-in. We are clean, respectful and polite.
