Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

Au pair for two smart children, since they'll be 14 and 12 by next year, it's more a matter of being a role model and helping with homework than practical things, though you would need to prepare an evening meal for them.

We're a nice family, and we could put you in touch with previous aupairs for you to find out for yourself. The main work we would want help with is collecting our 14-yr-old boy and 12-year-old girl from the school bus at 16:10 (13:40 on Wednesdays) and looking after them till I'm home about 18:30 - i.e. supervising their homework and violin/piano practice, giving them a snack. And cooking a meal for 6pm, when I get back and slowly take over. Plus little tasks like preparing their snack and clothes for the following school-day, some food shopping though I do the main shop at the weekend by car.

I'm British, my wife's Nigerian, I have a 23 year-old son who is away at college, and we have a 12 year old boy and 10 year old daughter, the last two are the relevant ones for you. We speak English at home as it's the language that all of us know best. We moved back to Belgium in 2009 after 8 years in Nigeria and China. My wife is working in her country Nigeria most of the time at the moment as she has a position with the government in her state, so she is here 2 weeks, away 6 weeks, here 2 weeks, away 6 weeks ... though that varies. Kids enjoy football and cooking (guess who likes which? unfortunately you're right!). Also reading . Also gaming and watching films. And trampoline. Welcome to join our family!
