Hi there,

We are a family from South Africa looking for an au pair that speaks English AND either Greek, German or French. We have two daughters aged 1 and 2 and we would love for them to be able to learn a bit of one of the languages by being exposed to it from this young age. We are from Greek and German decent, but do not speak the languages. We would be looking for someone to work till Jan 19 with an option to renew till the end of next year.

We are looking for a pleasant young woman that takes their profession very seriously. We want someone that sees this task as their work, the same way as we see our professions as our work. We have had an au pair in the past and she got a bit familiar and lazy, I think she eventually felt she was part of the family and forgot she was actually at work.

We are a very warm and friendly couple, but we just feel it is even more important to stress the client/employee relationship from the start, to prevent what happened to us before. We live on a beautiful property in a quiet, leafy suburb in Johannesburg. With all the shops and amenities close by. We have a team of 3 house staff and 2 little rescue dogs. We have another property in Cape Town and travel down there frequently. We spend a lot of time on the beach and going for walks along the promenade when we are there. We also travel abroad quite frequently. Sometimes you would be required to come with as the kids would come along, and sometimes we would leave them in your care with the rest of the staff and a grandparent in the house.

We are both very involved in our children's lives, but both very busy with work etc. We are also young and quite socially active. We are looking for someone to fill in for us when we are at work, provide an extra set of hands when needed, as we all as allow us some free time.
