Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:
SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.
We are a happy, energetic family who are excited about welcoming someone new into our lives. We have two cats and four kids! We need someone to get the younger children up in the morning and take them to school, then pick up at the end of the day and look after them until we get home from work. You will be free during the day and at weekends. We live in an arty vibrant neighbourhood in South East London with excellent links to central London.
We're a fun-loving family of six. Rachael and Jon are mum and dad, and our four children are Alfie (12), Fintan (10), Gracie (8) and Bruno (7). We live in south-east London which we LOVE! (more on that later) We're a friendly, noisy, loving family and are really excited to be inviting someone to join us to help look after the children and be part of our lives.
Rachael
Rachael loves books, art, theatre, cooking, restaurants and surfing. She is starting a new job as an English teacher in September after training this year. It's a full time job so she's expecting to be out of the house from 6.30 to 6.30 most weekdays. She also runs a youth group on Friday evenings which Alfie and Fintan attend.
Jon
Jon runs a company (www.aerialservices.co.uk) installing TV and satellite systems. He leaves the house at 6.45
Monday to Saturday and gets home anytime from 6pm to 10pm. Jon's into running, boxing, scuba diving, eating out and going to the theatre.
Alfie
Alfie leaves for school by 7 most mornings and returns around 4.30/5pm. He loves football (check out his team
www.cpfc.co.uk) karate, playing the guitar, table tennis and wargaming. He is also a discerning foodie who can make a mean roast lamb! Alfie can make his own breakfast in the mornings. He is a responsible, caring and friendly boy. He enjoys novels and films such as The Hunger Games or Hobbit trilogies. We often watch a film with him in the evening when the other children have gone to bed.
Fintan
Fintan is our Marvel fan. (he's also our Marvel encyclopedia!) He loves to go to the local cinema (we all do) and see his latest superheroes on the big screen. He also enjoys wargaming with Alfie, guitar playing, reading, drawing and karate. He is allergic to nuts and has asthma which we control with daily medication. Fintan is both our most joyous child and our most headstrong, he is loyal, fun-loving and has a strong sense of justice.
Gracie
Gracie can usually be found cartwheeling around the house or hanging upside down. She loves to go to the park and playgrounds and trains with a gymnastics squad. She also loves animals, especially her cat Cassie, and likes to go horse-riding when she can fit it in. She is a thoughtful, bright, happy determined girl who is as at home making daisy chains as she is wrestling with her brothers.
Bruno
Bruno has just had his first guitar lesson. He also plays tennis and karate. He's a very affectionate little boy, who loves to do junk modelling and painting. He spends a lot of his life racing at the pace of those older than him so he really appreciates it when someone takes time to read him a story. He's currently enjoying the first in the Harry Potter Series.
