Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

Au pair needed for a young fun family which one child. We live in a small country outback town in Western Australia - a real Aussie experience.

We require an au pair to care for our son 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Monday and Friday the au pair can pick up additional au pair/babysitting work with another family in Karratha. The weekends are free for the au pair to explore the Pilbara or relax. We may require the au pair to work a weekend night (Friday or Saturday night) every now and then - but this will be organised in advanced.

As I am a school teacher, I get 2 weeks school holidays every 10 weeks. During this time an au pair is not required for our family. During the school holidays, the au pair won't receive pocket money from us but is encouraged to find additional au pair/babysitting work with other families in Karratha (I can help find extra work). During the school holidays the au pair is still welcome to live with us.

The au pairs tasks include:
- Getting our son out of bed in the morning and putting him down for naps during the day.
- Preparing and feeding him breakfast, lunch and snacks.
- Interacting and playing with him. Play with his toys, do arts and craft, read books, and are encouraged to take him to the park, to the pools, library, beach, etc. There are a number of au pairs in our city - and there is a weekly au pair catchup group near our house where au pairs can meet and interact with each other while the children play.
- Take our son to his weekly activities (depending on timetable) - music, rhyme time, play group, sport.
- Help with light house work or do a grocery shop.
- Help with family dinner preparation (welcome to cook a dish from your country).

All au pairs will be considered. However, au pairs with a first aid certificate, child care/au pair experience, drivers licence and references will be preferred.
