Au Pair needed for a busy, fun and energetic family with 3 boys, Jack (6), Brooke and Peter (both 11). Peter has autism and therefore relies on routine. He is very trusting, creative and fantastic at drawing, building with lego, and he loves the cinema! Brooke is football and XBox mad, thoughtful and helpful; Jack loves sport, the outdoors, swimming, asking so many questions about everything, he is so curious about the world! We are looking for a trustworthy, fun and punctual Au Pair to join us.
I think that the most important thing to say is that we feel it's important our Au Pair is truly welcomed as part of the family. Reid and I both work full time and we are looking for some help to make sure our boys are happy, healthy safe and secure - that they have fun and if they can get the chance to learn another culture and language skills that would be great too! With Peter having autism, this is not a physical disability, it's a social communication disability and he prefers a lot of space to get on with his hobbies. He is very independent and his hobbies and toys are his world, but he is also reliant on routine and likes to understand what is happening and when. He is very trusting too. We are looking for someone who has a good balance of fun, energy, calmness, creativity, trustworthiness and who genuinely loves being with children! Someone who knows about autism would be great. We need someone organised, and who is good in the mornings. The mornings will be getting the boys ready for school and taking Jack to school, which is 2 minutes round the corner. Brooke will bike to school and Peter is picked up by a school bus from home. During the day we would need some light housework - tidying the boys rooms, their laundry, vacuuming/dusting, then after school picking up Jack, Peter would be dropped home and Brooke will cycle home. After school they would need help with homework, tea and activities like reading or games, until Reid and I get home. There is so much to see and do in Milton Keynes, we live in a large 5 bed house overlooking woodland and a farm, it's also only a 5 minute drive or bus ride to the city centre and so many sporting venues, shops, theatre and restaurants, cinemas, football stadium, indoor ski slope, lakes/parks. We are also 30 minutes from London, so a great location.
