Au pair wanted to join a friendly and fun family living in Wimbledon with 2 kids ( almost 10 yr old girl and an almost 2 yr old boy. Ah and lets not forget the cat, King Henry:-)
Dear au pair,
Let me tell you a little bit more about our family.
We are a Belgian family with a 9 yr old daughter and an 18 month old boy living in Wimbledon.
Our daughter Joelle is quite sporty (loves swimming, athletics, tennis, netball) and is very much into art (not only drawing but creating things) Like all children these days she loves playing games on the ipad, watching a movie, but as well listening to music, reading, playing board games and sometimes being bored:-) She is becoming a pre-teenager:-)
Her little brother is a very funny and happy toddler - discovering and learning every day new things. He attends a nursery for 3 days per week.
The kids love to go to parks, being outdoors, having fun in the playground (weather depending)
Overall we consider ourselves as being very friendly, very easy-going, sociable and fun:-)
We have had quite good experiences with different au pairs who have joined us from various countries.
Both my husband (Karl) and myself are working full time and hence we are looking for someone to help us with the care of our kids (and cat:-))
The ideal au pair to join our family would meet the following characteristics

likes to play with children
A driving license is highly desirable
We find it important someone feels good at our place, and that we can have an open communication and dialogue, with mutual respect for each other's privacy.
The following tasks will be asked from you
Getting the children ready in the morning
Preparing breakfast
Drop of and picks up from school.
Dressing the children (only for Oscar)
Bathing the children when and if applicable.
Preparing dinner for the kids
Doing the children's laundry and ironing
Keeping the children's areas (their rooms and playroom) tidy and clean as well as the other area's in the house after use, just like you would do in your own house:-)
Accompany the children to and from activities and appointments
Attending play groups with Oscar; organising play dates for Joelle
Entertaining the children with a variety of age appropriate activities, play games, doing creative activities (drawing, painting, making things), going for walks in the park
Supervising and assisting with homework
Being an example in good hygiene practices and good manners
Provide basic first-aid, as required, attend Doctor visits with children if required
Other ad hoc activities: little grocery shopping; the occasional dry cleaning pick up
Light household activities such as vacuum cleaning, filling/empty dishwasher
Time table
5 days per week (Thursday afternoon, Saturday afternoon and Sunday free)
2 x Babysitting/week if required
We offer you a spacious room with TV and internet
Bathroom shared with children
Pocket money £125/week
