Energetic, organised, proactive and independent French-speaking au pair needed by an international family (UK-Canada) currently living in Larchmont, New York, 30 mins from New York City. Responsibilities will include caring for two boys aged 4 and 7 during the week, occasional evening childcare, French tutoring, and helping with household chores. We are a British-Canadian family, currently living in Larchmont, New York 30 mins from NYC, looking for a native French-speaking au pair to come and live with us for a year to help take care of Hugo (7) and Oliver (4) while we are working during the day. We are looking for an au pair who can speak to the boys only in French and provide French tutoring during the week. The boys are independent, fun and well behaved. Childcare duties will include taking to/from school (just across the street), driving to playdates and after school activities, helping with child-related chores (cooking, laundry, etc), tutoring the boys in French, walking the dog during the day, and occasionally helping out with babysitting in the evening. Little weekend week. There are many other au pairs in the village and our previous au pairs have had enjoyable social lives outside of work. Self-contained comfortably furnished bedroom/kitchen/bathroom with private entrance. Generous paid vacation (up to 6 weeks).
