We are a family from central London (near Notting Hill) and are looking for a nice au-pair for a long-term stay. We ideally would like someone who is already in the UK, so we an meet you in person. But if you are the right person we are happy to skype with you and have you come from abroad. We are a busy household, so a calm, tidy person who likes children and cats is ideal. We have had a few au-pairs before, some stayed as long as 3 and a half years and we are looking for a stable, caring person, who ideally has been an au-pair before and now wants to come to London. The job is not difficult here, as the children are older, but we still need a caring, nice person around when we are both at work.
As my younger son does still needs help with his home-work, our au-pair needs to be a fluent English speaker (but of course you will still be able to learn a lot more).

Our ideal au-pair is someone who likes to cook healthy meals, likes being with children, especially to help with home-work and would also need to undertake some light housework, such as hoovering, keeping house tidy, ironing, feeding the cats and being around when we are at work. I have a schedule that I worked out with previous au-pairs and that I would like to follow again, as it worked well in the past.
After a month trial run, it would be nice to have some longer-term commitment.
