Everybody Friday and weekends off
We are hoping to find an aupair that is kind, caring and fun. Someone responsible and respectful, but also someone that will enjoy becoming a part of our family. You will be welcome to join us on fun days out but of course, can choose to do your own activities and explorations – whichever you prefer!
You will of course have your own room: an ensuite (power shower, toilet and sink) double bedroom, as well as speedy wifi, a smart tv (with full access to Amazon Video), a desk that overlooks the back garden and plenty of storage space.
We want to offer the right aupair a generous financial package, with additional contributions towards travel and phone costs. Naturally all food will be provided.
My partner and I have been together for 6 years and we have two very sweet, outgoing little girls. Our eldest daughter is three years old whilst our youngest has just turned one. We are a young and friendly family that loves spending time together and laughing. We are also what you might call a modern family – my partner is half-English and half-French, whilst I am Greek-Australian. Our home is definitely not your typical English household!
We live in a lovely 5 bedroom home (with large garden) in East Molesey, which is located 10 minutes away from Hampton Court Palace, a very picturesque part of South West London with beautiful parks and plenty of shops. There is a very good community spirit here and it is a very safe area to live in.
Our local train station is a 10 minute walk from our home and offers a direct train service to London Waterloo in just 40mins. The closest large town to us, Kingston Upon-Thames, is only 10 minutes away by bus and offers lots of things to do: great shopping, cafes, cinemas, bars, theatre, gyms, sports clubs etc. It also has a University and plenty of colleges that offer daytime or evening English courses so you can learn and improve your English whilst also making friends in the local area.
My partner works long hours in London (although some days will work from home) whilst I will be returning to work, part-time (Monday-Thursday), as a teacher locally. With my decision to start working again we are now looking for an aupair and will do our very best in making you feel welcome and part of our family!
Whoever moves in with us will obviously need to provide our girls with stimulating activities: playing, reading, crafts, painting, baking, going for walks, going to the park etc etc..
The working hours are Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 5pm. A typical working day would be as follows:
• Provide the kids with breakfast and get them dressed
• Drop off and collect our eldest daughter from nursery (9.15-12.15pm) whilst looking after our one year old daughter.
• Cook a healthy lunch for both girls
• Spend the afternoon doing activities
• Cook a healthy dinner for both girls
You would therefore have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off (along with all evenings) and we would also provide roughly one week holiday every six weeks (to coincide with school term holidays), therefore equating to 8 weeks holiday per year. This may provide you the time to sight-see, study or travel home to see your family. We will also expect occasional babysitting in the evening but will provide you with ample warning - resulting in one, maximum two evenings per month.
We would also expect you to help keep the kids areas clean and tidy, however please note that we are not expecting you to clean our home – we have a lady that comes in every two weeks for a deep clean and my partner and I also clean the home ourselves – we do not expect you to clean after us!!
We are offering 150 pounds a week for the right person.
Ultimately we want to find someone who is outgoing, fun, honest and responsible, someone who will be like a big sister to our girls :)
