Friendly Australian Family need an au pair to help with baby (Rex 9 months in July), toddler (Pippa 2 years) and school Boy Rory (6 years)

My name is Danielle and I'm an ex - lawyer, but not currently working. My husband, Cam, works long hours and is usually out of the house from 6am-6pm during the week. Rory goes to school 5 days per week and I'm home with the two younger children, Rex (9 months in July) and Pippa (2 years in July). So you'd mostly be helping with the two younger kids.

Your role will be to help mostly in the mornings from around 7.30am and evenings until about 6.30pm. Most days you will have a few hours off at some point during the day - all this can be negotiated when we meet you. Most weeks you will be required to work around 40 hours spread over the 5 days.

You won't be stuck at home - I would encourage you to take the little kids out to parks, play centres and we can even do some sight seeing together, such as trips to the Melbourne Zoo, Aquarium etc. There would be opportunities to travel with us when we go on holidays to places like Byron Bay, Bali and Fiji.

Our ideal au pair would be energetic, responsible, sensible, experienced with young kids, easy going and honest. You would need to have a love of little children and be able to handle the occasional tantrum.

Our current au pair has lived with us for 1.5 years and is very reluctantly leaving us to pursue her career in Childcare. She feels very much a part of our family and has a beautiful bond with each of our kids and us. We would love to find another au pair equally awesome!
