Au Pair Plus/ Mothers Help to start in September 2016
We are looking for a long term live in mothers help to join our family and care for our twin daughters age 4. We are looking for someone to start with us in September and is willing to commit to a minimum of 12 months. We are looking for an energetic, outdoorsy, caring and fun individual responsible, and mature person. It is essential that you have childcare experience, speak good English, and are a confident driver. You must have a relaxed and flexible approach to your work and be happy in an informal yet professional environment. We are a relaxed and happy family, and the children are delightful and great fun.
Job description
We will require you to help us 35-40 hours per week plus 2 nights baby-sitting.
Our daughters to school fulltime from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with after school activities most days. My husband and I work full time- sometimes at home, sometimes out, and so you need to be confident to sometimes work sole charge. It is a busy household but lots of fun.
We live in the most beautiful part of the town in Rugby with wonderful places on our doorstep. The train station is 5 minutes away by car and it is a short journey to Birmingham (30 minutes), leamington (20 minutes) and London (50 mins). We love being outside, being active and eating healthy food. We have a big house and garden and so there is lots of room for all of us, and for the children to runaround. The children are very happy and enthusiastic about everything.
This job will suit you if you:
• Clean driving license (Essential)
• At least one year's experience looking after children
• Enjoy caring for children and have experience looking after them
• Over 21 years old
• A non smoker (Essential)
• Good English speaker
• Someone who is reliable, organised and easy to live with
• Pro-active and use your initiative
• Be happy with the outdoors
• First aid knowledge (or we will arrange for you to do a course)
• Have a DBS/ CRB Criminal Record Check (we can arrange this if required)
Duties include:
• Getting children ready for school and preparing breakfast
• School runs plus after school clubs drop & collect
• Keeping children stimulated during time at home, arts, reading, writing etc.
• Help children with basic homework
• Cooking healthy meals
• Help at bath time and bedtime if required
• Arranging play dates and other activities
• Washing and folding kids laundry
• Tidying and general housework.
• Maximum two babysitting per week (including one at weekend) This may be rare
In exchange you will have fabulous accommodation, with your annex of the house with ensuite bathroom, and WIFI. There are lots of language schools near us, which are easily accessible by car and we will help you organise.
