We are looking for an English speaking au pair to look after our 3 children: two boys (very much into rugby) and their little sister. We are a happy, outgoing and sociable family. Our house is in the centre of Dijon (1H40 away from Paris) and we have a large garden. We enjoy going out, being creative and being involved in the arts.
Dear au pair,
We are an anglo-french family living in Dijon (not far from Paris or from Lyon, 1H40 by train). Annabel (mum) is French and Luke (Dad) is English. We have three children Eloi (11), Raphaël (9) and Maud (6). Dad works in opera and travels a few days every month. Mum works in finance.
We are a happy, outgoing and sociable family. Our house is in the centre of Dijon and we have a large garden. We enjoy going out, being creative and being involved in the arts. Music (of various sorts - not just opera!) is important in our family: Eloi sings, Raphael plays the cello and Maud the piano. Rugby is also very important to the boys, who train several times a week with a local club.
We hope the experience of being au pair for us would be enriching for everyone. And especially good for the children's English!
We are looking to recruit in the next few weeks for an au pair to start at the beginning of September 2016. We can organise face-to-face meetings in London for prospective candidates; we are in the capital until late July.
We are looking for an English speaking au pair to keep up the kids' English; they all speak quite well already. We also need help at a few key periods of the day. In the morning, getting Maud and Raphaël to school for 8.40 (Eloi goes by himself). Although we are not yet sure of the exact timetable next year, afternoons/early evenings are the second key period (on most days between 4pm and 7pm). This is the time we need help with collection, teatime snack, homework and drop offs/pick ups from the various clubs/activities. On Wednesday afternoons too there is no school in Dijon. Occasional help around the house (the kids' bedrooms) and evening baby sitting would be required.
We can offer a private room and bathroom in a nice house that has the advantage of being spacious with a nice garden, while having the centre of Dijon on the door step. The university, where there are language courses, is a short bus ride away.
