We are an English family living in a lovely house in Turnpike Lane in London. We have one daughter who is 3 years old and another baby boy who is 15 months. We are very friendly and easy-going.
Our house has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, two sitting rooms and a nice garden. We are working parents leading busy lives, but family time is also very important to us. We are a friendly and easy-going family, and enjoy socialising with friends, travelling and weekends in the countryside. We also enjoy time at home and quiet evenings.
We are looking for an au pair to work approx 35 hours per week, 5 days per week and occasionally babysitting in the evenings (2 or 3 times a month. We are expecting you will have most Friday afternoons free. We would also aim to be flexible so occasionally you could take a few days off here or there to go away. Also, as Jeremy is a teacher should you wish to have time during school holidays off that would be possible.
Apart from taking care of the children, you would need to do only very light housework, specifically tidying up after yourself, keeping the children's room and play areas tidy and helping with their laundry. Ideally you will have a good level of English, and a bonus would be a Spanish speaker but we are happy to welcome other languages too. The au pair will be given a lovely private bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, television and wifi connection. You are of course welcome to use the facilities of the house, as we have two sitting rooms it gives us all the option of spending time together whilst also having our own space. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic au pair who is fun and kind and has a calm temperament. Some previous experience with young children is required.
We like eating well, try to be environmentally friendly and so someone who appreciates those sorts of things might enjoy our household even more.
Jeremy is an English teacher so can help with your English study and Naomi works in the city in Project Management.
