We are a very active family living in the sunny South of France. We have 3 child's of 13/11 and 6. After 2 very successful experience with an Italian and a British Au Pair, we are looking to carry on next year.
Our two daughters have very different but equally fun characters , our oldest loves to read and ride horses . Our younger daughter, very artistic, is very outdoorsy. They really are very independent and are both good girls. Our youngest is a typical 6 year old boy with lots of energy he's very curious and playful and loves tennis. I am an interior designer and also work for my families vineyard which is based in a medieval castle in Provence at around an hour's drive away, you will have lots of opportunities to visit. My husband works as an engineer in Dijon ad returns home for the weekends. We are a very close family and we look forward to inviting someone into our home.
We live in an old house in the middle of a typical southern French village. The Village itself has all the amenities you could want, with several shops and bakeries as well as hairdressers and a pizzeria. The house itself is very large with a swimming pool. We recently renovated and restored the house and we undertook most of the work ourselves, so the house has all mod cons such as new showers and fast internet. Your room is very large and self contained with its own bathroom.
The main job for our aupair is picking our son up from school in the afternoon, and taking care of him and playing with him until he takes his shower at 6 , we would then ask you to prepare dinner for the children so we would welcome an enthusiastic cook ! You would have all the day free until you pick our son up as I mange the school run, so you will have ample time to explore the area. We do ask that you do some cleaning once a week and generally help to keep things tidy. We would also like you to do some English lessons with our girls once a week so it's important that you're a fluent English speaker. Your day on Wednesday is a little busier as you will help me to manage the children's various sporting activities which run from lunch to dinnertime. There is also a good french language school at Nimes. From Aigues-Vives there bus or train to reach Nimes, so that you can meet other aupairs as well as improving your french language skills.We would need you to be available from September 2015 to June 2016.
