Dear family, it is a pleasure to greet you, my name is Erika Viviana Moreno Urquina, I am 20 years
old, I am of Colombian nationality, I live in a city called Florencia, in the department of Caquetá, it
is an Amazonian paradise with many rivers, waterfalls, very beautiful landscapes, a warm climate
and sunsets full of colors where we eat the typical chicken stew, banana and yucca.
I am a very hard-working, responsible, friendly, dynamic, optimistic young woman. I love what I

Dear family, it is a pleasure to greet you, my name is Erika Viviana Moreno Urquina, I am 20 years
old, I am of Colombian nationality, I live in a city called Florencia, in the department of Caquetá, it

I am a very hard-working, responsible, friendly, dynamic, optimistic young woman. I love what I
do, because I do it with love and a good dose of energy in everything, no matter how simple it may
be. I am currently part of a community where I am preparing to be an Au Pair. participating in
psychopedagogy, neuroeducation and pedagogy workshops.
I love creativity, listening to others, laughing, playing and making the people around me feel good
by adapting to each circumstance.
In my house I live with my mother (Marlenys Urquina), she is 64 years old, and my sisters take care
of her, since my father (Bayardo Moreno) unfortunately passed away. Two nephews, one 5 - 10
years old, and my cat (Ozzy) also live with me in the house. I am the youngest of two sisters
(Yessica Patricia and Sandra Liliana). We really like going to the movies on Wednesday afternoons,
we always have dinner together and once in a while we go jogging on Mondays to take the kids
out, do a little exercise and watch the sunset at the airport, on Friday nights we go to bed in the
living room and we watched movies while eating popcorn. I know that my family is not perfect,
but thanks to them I am the woman I am with principles and values, being a humble woman, they
are my support and engine to move forward, facing every obstacle that comes my way in life.
Thanks to the efforts of my parents, I finished high school with an emphasis on natural sciences. I
also have courses in Basic Actions for the care of a person with health problems. Prevention
actions in mental health. English Does work – Level 1. First aid. I am also studying with the
Intelligent Traveler the pedagogical principles course for Au Pairs and English Challenge for Au
Pairs. I also have two semesters of Biology at the University of the Amazon.
I love and really enjoy going for walks and getting to know little towns and places I don't know,
going to the river, singing, watching movies, listening to music, cooking, sharing with close friends,
also sharing with my mother and my nephews, having a picnic and sometimes just sleeping. a
little, I am a woman of projects with the people around me.
Regarding my experience with childcare, I currently take care of my nephews on Mondays, making
their lunchbox and taking them to school and picking them up at 12:00 PM, I also volunteer on
weekends at the church as a teacher. neighborhood and Sunday School to approximately forty
children from 3 to 11 years of age from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM,
teaching them to read, write, sing, ride a bike, go on ecological walks, go to the park to play on the
swings, play soccer, discover nature by looking for stones and leaves of different colors and sizes,
tell stories with puppets and listen to children's stories. For me it is very gratifying and I feel very
happy because I have learned to do crafts such as painting, making cooking recipes, games and
above all I have learned to be part of the children and understand them with love and patience
helping me also not to forget my inner child being very happy with them. On the other hand, I help
take care of the neighbor's 1-year-old baby since she works every Thursday morning.
What motivates me most to travel and work is the idea of helping the host family with childcare as
necessary, as well as living the experience getting to know the culture of another country such as:
its home, customs, languages. That for me is a great, very exciting and emotional challenge.
Also in thinking and discovering that this experience will help me in my life project, improving my
economy and that of my family, thoughts and my way of seeing things, new communication skills,
adaptation and many more essential particularities during the course of this life.
My English skills are still basic but practical in an application called Duolingo where you learn to
listen, write, memorize and read. I also watch videos on YouTube and listen to music in English.
However, I hope to continue studying very judiciously and with your help become familiar with the
language and you learn a little of mine since my native language is Spanish.
One of the expectations is to be able to connect very well with the family and children, leading a
beautiful and healthy relationship, perfecting the language and becoming part of their home,
providing them with love, company, support in every way and of course also fun.
I really love children, nature and sunsets, I like artisanal pizza and cholado, my favorite animal is
the panda bear and cats. My dream is to one day be able to observe the northern lights. Every day
I try to take good care of my physical, emotional and spiritual health by practicing prayer, believing
that there is a God called Jesus of Nazareth, respecting the beliefs of other people around me.
