My name is Valentina, I am from a small city called Tunja located in Colombia, cold and nice, I am 23 years old and I love spending time with children because it fills me with joy.

I have been preparing to be an Au Pair in a community called La Viajera Inteligente, where I have been learning about psychopedagogy, neuroeducation and child-focused pedagogy.
As for my experience with children, began three years ago taking care of my little cousins, Gabriel, 8 years old, and Thomás, 1 year old. I accompanied them in the afternoons while their parents worked, made them a snack, supported them with their homework and I helped them by learning the English language, it is easy for me to learn it and teach it. During my vacation I was supporting a relative with the care of foster children from the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare (ICBF), a Colombian State entity that works for the prevention and protection of children. We had fun playing board games, we watched movies and spend time together. I helped with the care and attention of three children, Nancy, 10 years old, Gabriela, 9, and Matias, 2.
My expectations in this experience as an Au Pair is to be part of a loving and warm family, in which we can establish a sincere relationship, we can learn from both cultures, be an unconditional support for the children and the family in general. I want to expand my comfort zone and for my host family to be part of this important step in my life. I hope to meet your expectations and live a beautiful experience.
