My name is Liceth Gómez, those around me call me Liz, I live in Colombia, I am from a small city called Popayán known as well as the white city, I currently live in Medellín, the city of eternal spring, where I practice my profession and where you get always surrounded by happy and hard-working peopl

I have had the opportunity to study in a school with emphasis on pedagogy that allowed me to live experiences in kinder gardens and temporary kids homes, I was in civil defense (an organization dedicated to attend natural disasters), and during my career as a microbiologist I was trained in first aid too, Right know I am reinforcing my knowledge about it with a course. I love kids and I have focused on getting to know their world, so I am also getting some training through pedagogy workshops that reinforce my knowledge and can be a great help to my host family.
Regarding my experience with childcare, I am the older sister, I am 26 years old and my brother is 19, so since I was 6 years old I have been developing my care with children with him, for example on vacations, the whole family gathers, I have three little cousins of 9, 7 and 6 years old respectively and I am the person who help them with their homework, teach them how to skate, hang out for enjoy rivers and parks, they invite me to play different stuff like being a chef, a teacher and a great fashion designer, etc.
I have made some projects in three kinder gardens, two in my hometown and another in the city where I currently live, where I have also been a volunteer for a foundation that carries out activities for the community, including children, every Saturday of each month, which has allowed me to meet children between 3 and 10 years old with their different personalities. Sometimes between games, chores, and laughs, we could find sad faces, scratches, and accidents. They have led me to be a girl again, but also, I learned to handle these situations where children look for protection and for a safe place, it is quite enriching.
