Dear Hostfamily,
my name is Georgie, I'm from Italy and I am 20 years old.
I live in a small village in the north of Italy, which is about 1h from Venice, but only 40 minutes from the Slovenian borders. My village is very quiet, but I also like living in the city.
I have got a brother and a sister bigger than me, and I live with my parents.
I attended the scientific high school and now I am studying Primary Education at University to become a teacher. I have been playing volleyball since I was 5.
I am a sporty, cheerful, polite, generous and helpful girl. In the future I would like to become a teacher , but I would also like to travel the world to meet new people and meet different cultures than the Italian one.
I have already had several work experiences with children aged 3 to 13 as a homework helper and babysitter. I love being with children and taking care of them.
I want to become an Au Pair to be able to have new experiences in a different culture than mine. I also think it is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, new values, new traditions. Becoming an Au Pair will involve a lot of responsibilities, such as learning to handle the ups and downs of life and experiencing new things. Thanks to his experience I will be able to mature as a persone and learn to know myself better. Finally, I believe that taking care of children in a second family is the most beautiful and important thing about this experience: I can't wait to get started!
