Dear Future Host Family,

My name's Katrina, I just turned 24 years old last June. I studied Dentistry in the Philippines. I was supposed to graduate last April but due to the global pandemic, our graduation was cancelled. The Philippine Dental Licensure examination was also cancelled and to rescheduled on 2022.

Aside from my knowledge in medical field, I am very hardworking and reliable to a wide range of skills of housework. My Mom and I just started an online food delivery business here in our hometown. I bake almost everyday.

Aside from my passion in baking, I also love painting, reading and I love dogs as well. I have three dogs their names are Chippy, Hachi, and Fifi. I used to make mural when I was still in high school and I would love to do activities with your children. As to my experience in children, I often take care of my neices and nephew and play with them most of the time. On my free days, I volunteer on various organizations and other charity events. During Christmas, I volunteer in a charity events organized by my best friend wherein we give gifts and offer food to those families who cannot afford to celebrate Christmas. This give me pure joy because in just small act of kindness, I can make others happy as well. During summer, I volunteer at a local health center and a small organization. We give free dental treatments to remote or rural areas in the morning and in the afternoon, I volunteer at my Auntie's medical clinic. When I am in school, I always sign up if there's a charity events wherein we give free dental treatments.

I see this as a good opportunity for me to engage and learn to understand diversity of other people and their cultures and offer what I can give to other people. I will undoubtingly take and help other people and be able improve myself as well because I believe that you can feel pure happiness when you're serving with purpose through your passion in helping others.
