G'day!
I am a very responsible, but also fun-loving and creative person, very interested in Swedish culture, who would make a great big-sister to your children - while providing a helping hand with chores, school-work/activities and English tuition.
G'day!

ABOUT ME:
I am an outgoing and creative Australian girl who is just about to finish 4 years of nursing and midwifery university - including paediatric and infant care.
Now I want to experience the world, and Scandinavian culture - I can't wait to meet your family, learn your way of life and give you an extra set of hands! I have been to Sweden and Noway before and loved the weather, food (especially Kanelbullar!) and traditions.
I love drawing, playing the violin, travelling and learning other languages, ice-skating (and snow!), baking, and watching Disney movies! I have lots of experience looking after children through my nursing placements, as well as babysitting and my English tutoring job.
I am currently learning German and Swedish.
I have played the violin for 12 years and love music! I have been a playing member of the Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra for three years - in 2017, we were invited to play in Carnegie Hall, New York. This was an amazing memory for me as I was able to travel, make friends and share music! I am able to teach violin to children within their first five years of violin practice.
Ice-skating is my favourite sport, I have been attending classes for two years now (yes Brisbane does have an indoor ice rink believe it or not!) and am just starting to learn Waltz jumps, lunges and one-foot spins!
Overall I love the cold and snow much more than the heat! Hot chocolates, fireplaces, and warm clothes/scarves make me so happy but is non-existent in Australia! I can't wait to experience the culture of Scandinavia!
After learning Scandinavian culture and language I would love to enrol in university there to complete my Master's education.

EXPERIENCE:
Casual babysitting for five years - (children 0 - 15), including meal preparation, feeding, bathing, play/games, homework, medication administration/special needs, night-time routine etc. References available on request.
Three years paid employment at an English tutoring centre - tutoring English to children aged 3 - 16. Through this employment I have worked with children of all ages, utilising a variety of techniques to improve reading, writing, spelling, phonics, sentence structure and overall comprehension of the English language. I have worked with children with foreign language backgrounds as well as children requiring extra help/learning difficulties. I also provided maths tutoring through this employment.
I have some experience tutoring in biology, chemistry and physics - I consider myself an intelligent and academic person, who achieved the second-highest score upon leaving High School (OP 2). I also very much enjoy science which is why I chose undergraduate studies in healthcare!
Infant and child care (including health/medication/hygeine/play) through midwifery and nursing (paediatric) placement in hospitals over the past four years - children of all ages, disabilities and needs - communicating with the children as well as their families to create a positive environment while in hospital.
