Hi!
My name is Maria, and this year I am starting my gap year after a year of university in the Netherlands. I started learning English when I was in kinder garden, so my level is around C1-C2, and I can speak Italian with levels B1-B2.
My two major experiences with babysitting are my first real job when I worked for a Chinese woman with newborn twins. She had problems with her hand, and her husband worked in another country, so he was back home only for weekends. I helped her with washing babies and I spoke to them in Polish, as she was mostly speaking in English and Chinese.
My second experience, with older children, was as a cub leader. I went with 15 kids age 6 to 8 for two weeks long camp in the middle of the forest. I organized games and had to take very special care of them. That experience makes me confident about my ability to gain a child's trust and that I can take responsible care of them.
I'm a very optimistic person. I have a lot of energy and I am hard working. I am flexible and I adapt well to all situations.
Most of my free time I spend on activism. I was one of the main people organizing the Fridays For Future movement in Poland.
