Hello host family,
My name is Katrine and I'm 22 years old. I was born in Brasilia in June 1997, but in 1999 my family and I moved to São Paulo. And in 2014 we moved to Ceará, where I live today.
As a child, I always had easy time to make new friends. I like meeting new people and dealing with their differences. It's amazing to think that everyone has their own story and I'm part of it. In addition to making friends, as a child I loved to visit my grandmother and eat her wonderful food, and play with my neighbors. I believe being able to meet new people and be connected to my family will help me a lot during the Au Pair program.
I have two brother. I'm an older sister since I was 15 and I love it! Playing with my brothers and neighbors, preparing recipes and spending hours having fun with them is great. My parents have been separated since I was 7 and this is not a problem for me, I get along well with them.
I currently live with my mother and my brothers in a small apartment. We are a happy and very friendly family and sometimes we don't even feel like mother and daughter. She helps and supports me at any time. My mother is very happy with my decision to be an Au Pair.
I like to do many things, I am very eclectic and I don't like to be idle for a long time. My favorite hobbies include listening to music, reading books, watching shows and movies, traveling, surfing the Internet and dancing with my friends, going to the movies, to the beach. I have an instagram where I talk about travel, fashion, beauty and food! Blogging is a very good hobby for me because it makes me write everyday and brings me new friends.
I am studying nursing in a college here in Brazil (Campo universitario estacio). I'm in period 5 and will take a break from college to do my Au Pair program. When I return to Brazil, my priority will be to finish college, with many amazing and much more mature experiences on luggage.
I love taking care of people so much, it's very interesting, dynamic, things I love! I did internship, taking a lot in health and with children and the elderly. I had meetings all week, participated in internal and external campaigns, organized events and much more. In short, I was dealing with people every day and it made me very happy.
I currently work in a restaurant chain as a supervisor.
About my future, I'm sure I want to do this Au Pair program to meet a new family, make friends with children and teach them new things every day. Growing up with your children will be very enjoyable, help them with their duties and make them better people every day, make me very happy. I like to bring good things to people and with my host family will be no different. I also want to know new places, cultures and have amazing experiences in another country. I have never traveled so far and I know this will add a lot to my life experience.
I would like to thank the family who will choose me. I am dedicating myself in every way to this program and improving my English daily. I will do my best and I will be very happy, trust me!
