Hello there!

My name is Philippa! I am 20 years old and live in Stockholm, Sweden.
During my second year in swedish high school, I decided to travel with EF exchange to study a year abroad. I had no idea that this year would be the best of my life so far.
I moved to Preston ( Idaho ), a very small town in the Rocky Mountains a couple of hours drive from Boise. We lived in the middle of nowhere on a ranch with our grandparents, my host parents and their 3 kids ( age 7, 10 and 13 ).
I bonded really good with this family and the same week as I got there, the children started to call me big sister.
I love playing with kids, cook and has no problem with helping out with housecleaning / garden work / taking care of pets.
We were a very active and spontaneous family that shared our passion for outdoor activities, everything from fishing, horseback riding, climbing/hiking.. the list goes on forever!
So to mention, Im a very sporty girl who ALWAYS has a smile on my lips. Laughter is the most important thing in the world to me.
So that is probably one of the main reasons why I am applying for this “job”. I decided to put the “” because I do not like to call this opportunity job, rather a lifestyle.
I love the american family life, being involved with the community, the big “ get togethers “, the holiday celebrations, family dinners , activities , going to church etc. It is very different from the European family style.
I went to Preston High School and had the most amazing and fun time. I played Powder Puff ( american football for girls ), volleyball, ran for the Cross country team and was in charge of the schools yearbook.

I fell in love with the american culture, and by the end of my year abroad I decided i would move back here as soon as i finished swedish high school.
I studied economics and law and graduated this summer with A & B in all of my classes.
I enjoyed my 3 years in school, but ever since America I never felt the same.
I missed the school spirit, the friday night games, school dances, homecoming week and everything else that comes along with the normal high school experience.

Now when I have finished all of my studies, I feel like it is the perfect timing to look for a family who needs an au pair.
In my family back in Idaho, I used to babysit my host siblings all the time since my host parents had their own store. I have also worked as a nanny for 2 years on and off with other swedish families and relatives.
I have no problem working days, evenings or weekends with your kids.
I am also very familiar with all kids of pets and would love to take care of them as well if needed.

The location is not super important to me, I am always up for a new adventure and never turns down a fun opportunity.
But worth to mention is that I am a big fan of the country life. I love the music, farmlife and the old schooled american culture.

I am very responsible and will always look out for your kids as they were my own family.
I have attended several “ nanny classes “ which includes everything from CPR to first aid etc.

This is a very short presentation, but I would love to get in touch with you and discuss more questions about me and your family!

Hope to hear from you soon!
Love, Philippa Nyberg
