au pair from China, 21, looking for a job with the elderly and children, starting from 2020
Dear Host Family,
My name is Yuwei, a Chinese girl at age 21. I'm from a northern small town and moved to Shanghai alone for university at age 17. Later I have lived in London for a month and Gothenburg for half a year to study international law. So it won't be a problem for me to live in a different culture because I'm adaptable.
You can expect a friendly, patient and responsible person with good communication skills. Also, I'm a quick learner and open to study various tasks. Well, I would describe myself more of an introvert meaning I don't mind spending time alone, although I love being around people I feel comfortable with.
I hope my future host family is caring that I could integrate with you but at the same time I'd like to spend some of my free time exploring on my own. And I wish to get to know the language of your country more than the basics, so we can have chats in your language.
To be honest, I have little experience with children. Because of the one-child policy implemented by my country, I don't have the fortune to grow up with siblings. I'm sure my lack of experience will be made up with devotion and empathy since I always dream of having a sister or brother to share the love with.
I would see it as a robust but healthy challenge to take care of children and the elderly, even the animals. I wish to provide people with support both emotionally and physically. It is important for every child to be seen while growing up, and for the elderly to feel well accompanied with. I plan to start an Au Pair year after graduating from university for that I need to walk out of my comfort zone and get to know myself better.
