Hello Host Families!

My name is Aterahme. I'm a 22 year old college graduate, with a love for travel, people and art.

I love to volunteer and giveback to the world.
I also am a big family person and love children.

Most people call me MeMe because it's a lot easier to pronounce. I graduated May 2019, with my degree in BFA Acting with a minor in Creative Writing mainly poetry and some journalism. I'm a member of sorority, I sing, play many sports (mainly volleyball) and enjoy traveling, hikes and reading (hoping to get into photography).

I consider myself to be a hippie, very free spirited and open-minded, honest and kind. I love people and animals of all kinds (maybe not spiders). I'm a very active (physically and mentally) and I love being creative, something that works very well for me when it comes to children.

I am a natural nurturer and love children. I am the 2nd oldest of eight! So I have a lot of experience with children from newborns to teens. My mother was widowed a few years ago, and it took a huge toll on our family. Even being at school I have accepted a lot of responsibilities to help out my mother. All this has groomed me to be a perfect aupair. My empathy and care for others.

Although I've never been an aupair before I have babysat for years, even for weddings, and hotels in my neighborhood who need childcare for multiple children. I am planning to get CPR certified also!

I am crafty, try to live a sustainable and minimal life. I enjoy the simple things, learning about other cutltures and people enlightens me. And experiencing these kinds of things with my younger siblings gives me so much joy, and I'd love to respectively do that with other children.
