Nanny/Aupair form Zimbabwe. My name is Megan and I would love to be given an opportunity to work with your family.
Dear host family.
Hello, my name is Megan, I am 18 years old and I live in Zimbabwe.
I have just finished school having completed my final A'level exams in May this year. As I graduated 6 months earlier, I'm looking to fill my time being productive and doing something I have wanted to do for a long time. I have always loved children and am looking to pursue a career where I am able to work with them.
Growing up I was taught to work hard for something I want and to spend my time being productive. I've been working since I was 15 and over the years I have worked in a gym and done numerous waitressing jobs. I am definitely a people person and find it easy to fit in with my surroundings. I have babysat many times for family and friends for children aged 3-15. This has included performing basic household tasks, cooking, transporting and helping with school work.
While attending school I tutored some of the younger students in English and maths during my free periods.
I am currently volunteering at Zimbabwe's Sunshine Foundation where I teach arts and crafts to Down syndrome and disabled children and teens.
I am available to start anytime in August and I am looking for a two to three months placement. Durning my stay I would have no other responsibilities therefore be able to be completely devoted to the position.
I do have an EU passport as my Mum is from Germany, so traveling would not be an issue. English is my first language. I passed with an A grade at O'level and carried it on to A'level. I have studied and passed french at O'level so I have a basic understanding. I would be very open to learning another language.
I have a certificate in Basic first aid, CPR and AED training. I also have a valid international drivers license. I do not smoke or drink. I love animals and would be more than happy to work with any pets.
I've been brought up to be very independent, to look after myself and to appreciate what I have. My mum is extremely organized and has definitely passed it down to me. I was color coding my crayons before I could read. I am very comfortable with doing basic household chores. I love to cook and be in the kitchen. I am very happy to prepare healthy and yummy meals.
I am responsible, honest and hardworking but patient and compassionate especially with children. I have strong communication skills and adaptable and calm in difficulty situations.
I have lots of energy and so many creative and fun activities to keep the little ones busy.
If given the chance I'm sure I would make a good fit to your family as well as bringing a little of African culture with me.
Thank you for your time. I hope to hear from you soon.
