Hello! My name is Andrea, I am from Cuernavaca, Morelos, a small town in Mexico, right now I live with my mother and her boyfriend, my older brother lives in another town here in Mexico and my other brother lives in my hometown but he lives now by his own.

I finished high school one year agoin London School here in Cuernavaca, I studied there for nine years and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life, I learned so many thing such as values, team work and also a lot of theory too. I decided to take one year before going to college for traveling and increasing my English since I want to study in the United States; I am really passionate to theatre and as New York is the cradle of theatre I think the U.S will be perfect for my career.

I think travelling is the best way to open your mind as you learn new cultures, traditions and even languages. I have travelled many times around my country but I have not travelled a lot in other countries so I am really excited to know a new place and new culture. The majority of my trips I have done them on my own, even though I am still really young, my parents have taught me to be independent since I was little so they trust me and let me do things on my own; also because they think that you can learn more from your own mistakes than from others so they always encourage me to try new things and figure out things on my own.

Apart from travelling I also think working with kids is a very enriching experience for many reasons, 1. You have to be very responsible, 2. You have to look after them before you look after you, 3. You have to work on your patience, 4. Kids spread so much love and happiness that it makes your life less stressful, 5. Kids teach us new things every day, they are really spontaneous and innocent, 6. As children look after older people you have to teach them good values and encourage them to follow their dreams, be positive and always be a good person. So that is why being an Au Pair excites me the most, also because I would like to get out my comfort zone by learning a new culture, following new rules at home and increasing my responsibilities.

Since I was very little I have these strange and unique love/ passion for art, I started dancing and painting when I was three years old and I have always been really talented in music. I think that has been such an important part too because through creative art, children may be able to represent experiences that they cannot verbalize. They may draw pictures out of proportion, exaggerating things that are important to them. When we value children's creativity, we help them feel valued as people, raising their self-esteem. So I would like to inculcate them to art and let them express their selves freely and liberate all the stress they could be handling. I am still dancing four days a week and I enjoy it quite much, now I also like writing and reading so I do that very often too, along with singing and drawing every other day.

As I said before I am really committed to rules and values so I consider myself as a very responsible lady, you can be sure that your kids will always be safe and disciplined around me, also they will always be having fun and laughing; For me is incredibly important to keep a balance in life between having fun and being disciplined, I also think that you have to keep your values above all and be very respectful, grateful and loving to others. I will make sure your children's development is based on values and goals so that they can grow up mentally healthy and they become great people.

For me family is one of the most important things in life because the environment children´s grow up on defines who they are going to be. As I grew up in a very healthy, happy and lovely environment I try to spread that to every human and living being I come across to; I think we could love each other as a family too.I am a really social person because I think friends are also a very important thing since they are the family we choose, they grow up along with us and they are the people we trust the most of our issues and achievements. I would love taking your kids to the park and to the school for them to socialize and make a lot of friends.

Talking about school I would like to say I have tutored many of my friends in different school topics and I have also taught children at school and at recreational activities so I will be glad to help your kids with their homework and their studies.
I have worked will children in several occasions, at summer camps, summer courses, baby sitting, day caring and at school activities so I have a lot of experience with them, I am really patient, responsible, committed, disciplined, caring, loving and funny to them so I hope you can trust me and let me be a part of your family.

After this cultural experience I'm planning to study theatre and follow my dreams as a talented actress. I'm expecting to improve my English so I can apply for a scholarship in the U.S. I want to join an intercultural university where I can learn even more about diversity. My professional goal is to conclude my studies in the U.S and to take as many acting or singing opportunities come to me. My long term goal is to open an institute for poor children to give them the education and health they deserve and to help their development.
This experience is very import for me because I really want to improve my English and I think living with a native English family is the best option. Also I am willing to become more mature and to learn a new culture and new values.
