Au pair from Spain called Alejandro, 19, looking for a job with a nice family, starting from 19 June!
Dear family,
Let me introduce myself. I am Alejandro, a 19-year-old guy who was born in Gran Canaria, one of the Canary islands, where I lived until I was 18. Currently, I am studying Psychology at the university of Granada, where I live.
On one hand, I was raised with my family in the countryside, which has allowed me to understand the arts of nature in all of its shapes; I have been able to appreciate all of its beauty, and respect and love it as it deserves. Moreover, I have been taught how to work the land and take care of plants and animals, which has made me a really hardworking and caring person and has provided me of really important and useful knowledge and skills.
On the other hand, I have achieved nearly full independence by moving to Granada and starting a new life on my own. Since then, I have greatly improved my social skills, learnt to do what I need for and by myself, and acquired the ability to freely and safely move around the city. Therefore, this new situation has made a resourceful and competent guy out of me.
About my experience taking care of children and people in general, I have quite a big family (and a younger brother), and I have taken part as an instructor in activities aimed for kids. Thus, I consider myself a really good babysitter, but also a teacher or even a playing buddy whenever it is needed. That is to say, I am a very responsible adult and a great friend, too.
In addition, as a Psychology student, I know about how the mind works and why people behave the way they do, which entails an advantage for me when it comes to looking after someone, understanding and helping them (all the way from babies to elders). Furthermore, even though I am not the greatest cook, I can efficiently take care of all of the household chores, and I would gladly lend a hand or even fully take on any task.
Last but not least, I have a wide range of hobbies, which include reading, writing, drawing, watching movies or TV series, enjoying music, learning as much as I can, and developing all of my psysical and psychological skills and my personal growth, by doing yoga and many other kinds of activities.
However, if there is anything that I could consider my main passion, it is traveling. I have been to some different countries so far, and the more I travel abroad, the more confident I am about how much I love discovering other worlds; from seeing a different culture from the inside, to meeting all sorts of people, trying new food and exploring unknown places.
If there is anything I am sure about, it is that there is not a place in the whole world that can be considered uninteresting. To conclude, I am a really curious person, totally open to any new experience, which I will make sure to live and enjoy to the fullest, doing my best at it and always improving and learning as much as I can.
