Canadian Au Pair, Gaby, 24, looking for a fun and exciting experience with a lovely local family, starting from 22 February!

My name is Gabrielle (Gaby) Ouellette, and I am a 24-year-old from Canada. I have never visited Australia before, and I am extremely excited about my upcoming trip!

I have been in the customer service industry for many years, and I enjoy doing a range of volunteer work. I was in school for the last 5 years completing a Bachelor of Interior Design degree. I prefer to be busy when I work and I am very good at dealing with many things at once.

I'm quite used to moving around and meeting new people as my father was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, which meant that we never stayed in one place for longer than a couple years. I would babysit for multiple families in the various neighborhoods we lived in as we moved from place to place, and I really enjoyed it. I would really love to get back into a child care role while in Australia because I feel like it would be a fantastic way to learn about the country and the people who live there.

I want to be an Au Pair because I really enjoy working with children. Childcare is such fulfilling work, and I have really missed it. I've heard stories of others who have gone down the Au Pair route on their travels, and they have had only good things to say about it. Becoming a part of the family and being able to really become friends with the kids sounds like such an amazing and fun opportunity.
