My name is Fabbie, a filipina girl. I am 24 years old (female). I currently live in Philippines. I graduated with the course Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant Management at Cagayan de Oro College Phinma Education Network.
When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to, and watching movie or series. I also love baking cakes and pastries, cooking different kinds of dishes (western and asian cuisine) I love playing with children and I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.
When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in informal contexts. Last 2 years, while my aunt was working in the hospital, graveyard and morning shift, I was the one taking care of her 2 children, ages 2 and 10. During morning, I prepared their food. And for my cousin age of 10, I was preparing her uniform, shoes and snacks for school. And for my cousin age of 2, I was preparing her milk and play with her when she's awake. We watched educational movies. For this year 2018, my cousin is preparing for her upcoming Licensure for teachers board this September 30, 2018, she has a 2 daughters ages 6 and 8. I'm helping to feed her children and send them off to school. When they arrived at home, I'm checking their homework.
The reasons why i want to be an au pair because I want to experience the culture of other countries, and also an International experience is a Great Resume Booster. I believe being an au pair will help me wander the world and reach my financial independence. I want to explore more places during my time off and meeting new set of friends. Taking good care of my host family gives me more responsibility. Lending a hand counts even in my own little ways. I know i can learn a lot from the family and really looking forward to have a harmonious relationship with them. Learning more about life in another perspective which is beyond my comfort zone. And these memories will be treasured forever.
I would want my host-family to be honest with me from the get go. All i expect from my host family, is my own room, food, weekly pocket money, to be able to use internet connection, and a little respect. anything other than that for me is a bonus.
Therefore, all important agreements - as an au pair exact duties, the amount of monthly pocket money that I will receive, working hours, holiday entitlements, free time and extra hours for babysitting . Each task should be discussed together beforehand and written down in the au pair contract in order to prevent possible misunderstandings. In exchange I will be helping the host family with their housework and their children. I will love and take care of your children as my own family.
