Jambo (Hello),I am an au pair/nanny from Kenya.I am a Christian and my name is Evalyn Wanjiku. Looking for a job with a nice family starting from October.
I come from a family of 5.My parents, Jane and Isaac are currently employed. I have one brother 22yrs old and him too is employed. Our last born,Vivian, she is 8yrs old in class 2.In about a year or two,I plan to go for further studies but I am yet to make up my mind concerning my future area of specialization. So,at the moment,I would like to take some time out of academics to have a different life experience, and to calmly reflect on my future academic/professional orientation. To this end,I think spending some years abroad would be particularly interesting.
When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children both at home and Church where I have been a Sunday School teacher. Currently we took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities. We sang,danced,played games,drew,painted and narrated Bible stories.Also we heard competition from different Churches where our kids emerged the winners.
In addition, my youngest sister, like spending time with neighborhood kids where time to time I do find myself in their animated company. I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.
When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in walks, visiting places I have not been too and reading a good book.I also enjoy dancing, singing and drawing. I often propose drawing and painting activities to my sister and neighborhood kids whenever they come for company.
As far as preferences are concerned,I am looking for a live in arrangement with a host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for at least 2yrs.
