Isabel, 18, from London, fab, fit fun and wanting to start from September
Hello! My name is Isabel and I am 18, from London and about to take a gap year before university next year where I will be studying Fashion Communication and Promotion. I am very keen to build a close bond with a family abroad whilst helping to care for lovely kids.
I have studied at a Media school and so very much enjoy photography and videography. Horse riding has also been a passion of mine since I was young as we have always had horses in our family and I have competed various times. While I was doing this I used to run a pony club for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 where I realised how much I enjoy being surrounded by such imaginative, young individuals- its so exciting! Furthermore, I am a Catholic but practice spiritualism and I do yoga every morning and evening as I feel it centres the mind and body; I reckon this would be really nice to involve kids in.
I come from a Spanish family, with a lot of them living all over Spain but mostly Málaga. I am therefore able to speak Spanish fluently as well as my native language of English. I have gained the majority of my childcare experience from growing up with a family full of young children under the age of 10, who I frequently babysit. However, my favourite are my crazy twin cousins who I love to take on day trips as often as I can.
With a single mother I have had to be very independent and reliable too, tidying up after myself and keeping the house in order while she is at work. Currently, I am working at a bar which has taught me to stay very calm under pressure and in stressful situations. I also have two queens in my life; a hamster called Ginseng and a beautiful cocker spaniel called Lola who I enjoy taking on adventures around London. She even makes great company to sit under a tree, reading a book with.
I would love to be an au pair because who doesn't love occupying the company of children, for a start? I have a deep desire to be abroad during my gap year before I dedicate myself to a further three years of education and I feel that being an au pair will be a very practical type of education and help me practice responsibility that I understand is vital when looking after children. I would love to be considered by a fun, outgoing family and I am very flexible with hours and expectations, ready to start whenever. :)
