“Dear Host Family"
thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Sara and I am 25 years old. I am a Graphic Designer, passionate Illustrator and multimedia lover. Defined as an outgoing, emphatic and positive women, when it comes to work i can be really ambitious, confident and amazing team player. Always hungry for a challenge, and willing to go over the top, i believe that hiring me is a good decision not just because i am creative person, because i can learn from the mistakes and recognize then and make something much better out of it.
In my spare time, I love to do trekking and hiking mountains. The last year and half I helped babysit 2 kids Matias 7 and Salomon 2 and was assigned to teach arts&craft and help take care of them making snacks, napping time etc.. In between the short exercise lessons I was responsible for entertaining the children and we had lots of fun playing hide and seek, doing face paintings, colouring ins and many more games.
About me
I come from a family of 6: My father Dario 65 is an electrical engineer and has already retired My mother Alba 57 is a international business administrator and is about to retired also. I have 2 sisters and one brother. My eldest sister Veruzca, is 36 years old and is a secondary school psychology in New york. Next is My brother David 30 and he works and lives in China, then my sister Elizabeth who just finish her master degree in opera sign at New York.
As you might see my family likes to bound and share with other culture as my own i live for 2 years in china learning mandarin after i finish high school and now i am looking again for a new experience where i can share my love for childrens and my passion for cultural exchange.
In about a year or two I plan to pursue a masters degree, but I am yet to make up my mind concerning my future area of specialization. So, at the moment, I would like to take some time out of academics to have a different life experience, and to have time to calmly reflect on my future academic/professional orientation. To this end, I think spending a year abroad would be particularly interesting.
Why do you want to be an au pair?
I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don't want to listen to me.
I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you: to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences; to learn more about your family; your interests and to know more about what you expect from the au pair arrangement.
