To all potential families,
My name is Angèle, 21 years old and I'm from France. I'm finishing an exchange semester in Norway, and will begin an apprenticeship in September in Paris. I decided to attempt the adventure of being an au pair this summer, because I like living abroad and learn about different cultures and the country you live in !
I am known to be a smiling and responsible young woman. My love of reading, sport, cooking and outdoor activities will worked perfectly with encouraging children away from televisions and into active, imagination enhancing activities.
I think I'm a loyal, kind hearted and open minded individual who has many passions (reading, drawing, biking, visiting museums…) and a curiosity of life and of others in general. I love to enhance my knowledge whenever possible and I'm always open to trying and learning new thinks. I would describe myself as responsible, calm, patient and mature but also energic and laughter.
I'm student in a Business School, where I study Supply Chain Management. I live in Oslo since january and since I'm 14, I have spent my summers travelling to different countries enjoying the discovery of different culture. At 14 I have spend one month in a german family living in New Delhi (India), at 15 I have spend one month in a family in Denver (USA), at 17 I have been volunteer in Armenia, at 19 I was intern in a NGO in Jaipur (in India). I'm fluent in French (of course) and English, I had a good level in German, but since I didn't practice since a while, my german knowledges are not very good, but I still can speak and understand. Since I'm very curious of spanish culture, I could understand a bit of spanish but not speak.
I really like the contact with children, helping them to grow up. I have been scout leader during one year, looking after little scouts from 7 to 11 years old. During two years I was volunteering in a school with children of 11 years old, helping them with homework and lessons.
I would love to be an au pair to be able to experience another countries culture first hand and another way of life as well as caring and helping to raise children which i strongly believe is one of the most beautiful things in life. Along with the fact that i love children/babies and i have great patience with them!
