British nanny/au pair looking for a family Between April-August or October onwards.

My name is Gemma, I'm 23 and I'm currently pursuing my degree in Computing and IT part-time. I work as an independent contractor full-time. In my spare time I like reading, visiting new places and learning new languages.

People tend to refer to me as an old soul. I've been out of my family's home and living independently/working full-time since I was eighteen so I'm definitely responsible and mature. I've travelled abroad many times, mostly within Europe, but also the US. I've spent a few months abroad before so I'm accustomed to settling in somewhere and not getting homesick.

I grew up an only child with cousins who were around 10 years younger than me so I've had a significant amount of childcare experience from a young age. We've welcomed three babies into the family in the last year who I love to cuddle whenever I can.

I also have a fair bit of experience in education. I've worked for multiple distance learning education providers that taught both high school aged children and younger, helping to teach them STEM subjects (Math, Chemistry and Programming specifically). I was providing written feedback on their homework and helping with any questions they have. I'd definitely be good at helping with homework!

I have family members who are on the autism spectrum so, with some advice from the parents, I would feel comfortable caring for a child who was also on the spectrum.

I love to read so I'm more than happy to do bedtime stories. I also like visiting museums/art galleries and I'm more than happy to bring children along to explore too.
