Looking for a host family!
I'm Ruth, 27 years old, from the Philippines. I'm very much interested to work as an au pair for a host family. I'm willing to work anytime of the day, during holidays, or even during weekends if there's a need to. I can be your children's big sister, guide them to be God-fearing, instill good moral values, and teach them the value of family ties.
I would love to learn more about your culture and tradition, and share them to my fellow Filipinos. I want to know more about your country, your food, and hopefully meet some locals to widen my circle of friends. Also, working with people of different culture isn't new to me. I can adapt easily.
Just a brief background:
On 2010, I worked as a Customer Service Representative in a huge BPO company that caters customers all over the US. I worked their for 4 years and was forced to resign due to Typhoon Haiyan. Our building was hit by the strong winds and our clients were forced to pull out the account I was working for. Yes, our place was badly hit by the typhoon but we were able to recover after a year. So I transferred to a different BPO company and worked as a Fraud Analyst for a bank. I also worked part-time as an online ESL teacher for Chinese students mostly kids between 4-16 years old. After a year, I was hired by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as their Project Coordinator for their Livelihood and Agriculture projects in some Typhoon Haiyan hit areas in the Philippines. It was a project-based job that's good for a year. After my contract, I worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Team Leader for 2 years in a sales company (BPO) and my stay was cut short just two weeks ago when the company filed for bankruptcy. We were not paid and we're all left empty-handed. I consider all these humble experiences as my edge over other candidates. They made me the person I am today: better, responsible, and wise. They also helped me develop my skills and gave me more knowledge with the different types of industries.
I've also had experiences in taking care of babies and toddlers as I grew up in an extended family. My aunts would ask me to look after their children whenever they're busy or away from home. I love being with kids. I promise I'll be gentle with them. I also have a two-year old pet dog named Yuri, he's half Shih Tzu and half Poodle; and an eight-year old cat named Ming. I can also help you with some household chores if you want me to.
Also, I'm currently residing in the Philippines; however, I'm very much willing to move in to your place as soon as possible. I assure you that I will be a responsible and honest au pair.
