Au Pair from Indonesia called Andini, 22, looking for a job with a loving family, starting from 1 May!

Dear future family,

Thank you for visiting my profile.

My name is Andini (nickname: Dini). I am 22 years old. I currently live in Indonesia. I just finished my bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics.

I have a family who is humorous, supportive and loving. I grew up in a small family where I only have a younger brother, 17 years old. Both my parents work as civil servants for local government in our hometown.

I see myself as a young girl who is easy-going, humorous, energetic, responsible and initiative.

I have a great joy being around young children. In my college's life, I joined a few voluntary projects. First, I joined Greenpreneur community where the activities were green-living arts, save earth campaign, and planting education whose targets were primary school students. Secondly, I was the only representative of my university teaching in Poland for 6 weeks. I was challenged to teach 3-15 years old. I am glad I had such opportunity to teach different ages of students. It was challenging but quite fun. I learn a lot of things from this experience. I learn how to make the younger ones adapt with me,since some of them do not speak English, I learn how to be creative in getting their attention, what to do when kids are fighting and make such educative yet fun games and activities. I used crafts and arts projects in the activities and games that involve everyone to speak up. For the younger ones, I used songs, videos and crafts to engage them in active and creative learnings.
Back from Poland,I moved to another house which the family has young children. I remember a little girl came up to me while cycling around the room made me smile. In the first year, I helped the mother look after her 2 year-old-son when they were away such as changing his diapers, feeding and bathing him. With the eldest one, I often read her a story book, helped her with homework, occasionally picked her up from school when I was free and had an English conversation with her since her English is admirably fluent. One year later, I was trusted to be a tutor for this little girl, called Regina to help her with reading and writing. The learning sessions were 4 times a week, half to an hour a day since this kid has only 60 minutes max for the effective learning. I learn that caring for young children requires a big responsibility, creative, energy and patience. Having these characters are something that I am grateful for. In sum, I have experiences taking care of children ages 2-15 years old. Both babysitter and teaching. If I had to choose, I would prefer taking care of children ages between 2-12 years old.

I want to be an au pair because other than children-driven motivation, I want to learn the language (preferably Dutch), I am open to learn a different culture and learn new things.

I preferably choose the Netherlands because the country is known as open, tolerated and friendly people. I also heard that the people are independent, and direct. Besides the people's side, I also love the country with bike-culture, walking and convenient mass-transportations. From the language, because of how many similar words with Indonesian, I am interested to learn Dutch and I already have basic knowledge of Dutch. So I can speak with your children when I arrive and can not wait to sing the Dutch kid songs together. Undoubtedly, a small country with the canal, tulips, cheese and windmill icons which has more than Amsterdam to explore.

Living with the host-family, I think is a great way to learn the host-country language and the culture in depth. In return, we can exchange stories about our cultures, our daily activities or about the world. Most importantly, open with the family, make memories and build a good long-lasting relationship with the family and the kids even after the contract finished.

It is my pleasure to help you with light households such as tidy the children's room, laundry and fold the children's clothes, do shopping, clean after the meals, help prepare the meals and cook simple recipes.

If you are interested in my profile, please feel free to contact.

As this would be my first experience as an aupair, I wish we would have an amazing journey together in one year ahead.

Hope to hear from you,

Regards,
Dini
