Hi, I'm Jane an Au Pair from the Philippines, a creative, ambitious and persistent woman, 26. Looking for a job with a nice family, starting May 1!
Dear host family,
My name is Jane, it was always an ultimate dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country, to learn their cultures and language, and it always gives me an excitement every time I will imagine it. I always believe that it will become a reality soon. I would like to go to the foreign country (e.g Norway, Denmark, and Italy) because of its stunning cities, fascinating histories and most of all the nice people living on it. I cannot even wait to the day that I will be in one of those countries. My heart is smiling as I am writing this letter.
Now, allow me to tell something about me and my family.
My family is a typical Filipino family. I've got a big family, with my parents, my 3 brothers (31 as the eldest and 24 as the youngest brother), my 1 sister (29 yrs. old), me and also with our 2 cute little lovable doggies (namely Chalie a Shih tzu and Chassie a Maltipoo). My mother is a housewife, she really likes to keep our house clean and organized, she also loves flowers and plants and I think that's what I got from her. My father is the one who manages the small farm of my grandmother, he is quiet and may look strict to others but he has a kind heart and likes to crack a joke with his friends. He is also good in planning and handling people no wonder he became a lead man/ head of supervisor before in the company he was working.
I've got a beautiful relationship with my siblings, I must say. We may quarrel sometimes but I guess it is normal, and the important thing for us is we never hate and turn back from each other. I am very happy and proud that even we all live separately, some have their own family yet we still have time to talk and ask each other “how are you”, and even ask some advice from each other about life and even love. We are the family that loves each other imperfections with respect and understanding with each other.
Before I'll end this letter, let me tell you more something about me personally.
I am creative and ambitious young woman. I have so many ideas about my future, and I always believe that staying in your comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing ever grows there. That is why I did continue my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration major in General Management after years I got my Associate Diploma in Business Information and Management. I love to read and learn new things. I live on own and became independent since I was still 17 years young, I worked a different kind of jobs while I am still studying till I graduated. I was into Sales, Accounting and a Non-voice (Chat Support) Customer Service Representative till I got promoted as a part of Recruitment Team and Team leader at the same time (which I was responsible on hiring new staff and assigning/supervising the members of the team consists of 20 persons). And from all those work, I encountered diff. type of personality a person has and it makes me more responsible and reliable. It gives me so much understanding of how to handle people and how to organize things based on priorities.
Right now, I am supporting a Non – profit Charity Organization as part of the volunteers and event planner, on this organization we do have a monthly Earth Warrior as a cleanup drive around the city, and helping those people in need from kids in the orphanage to the Home for the aged. I love the fact of helping and giving back not just to the community but esp. to the family or kids who are less fortunate. For me, growing up with not rich family (in terms of financial aspect) gives me a better understanding of not having something on your plate and it's always nice to care.
I started to care and love kids by the time my first nephew was born, I used to babysit of him every time his father (my brother) and my sister in law were at work. It's not easy at first, I must admit but it was a great experience also to share some time with my nephew. Until the time came that my nephew was with me till he reached 2 years old and right now he is already in his secondary school year, our bond and/or attachment never change and it's always nice to feel like for him I am his second mom. It may be a short experience for others but for me, it taught me more on how to have the patience to kids, and for that time I also felt that it is not easy to be a mother, and I guess that is also important that someone can reflect and understand each other.
I love to teach kids and read stories, it gives me so much joy to see their innocent reaction on every part of the stories I read, I like them to be curious and fun at the same time because that is how to be a kid and apart from the kids I also don't have a problem on doing some household because I started to live by myself when I was still 17 years old, I even cook my own food, I usually like to experiment in the kitchen and will always love to learn new recipes. Sometimes I, even more, like to do groceries than go out shopping.
On my free time, I like to read, watch movies and in internet reading some articles. If I may describe myself in one word, I will say I am a flexible person, I know how to cope with changes in circumstances with a positive mindset. I believe you will never go wrong with that kind of mindset.
Sincerely
Jane
