Au pair from the Philippines called Athena, 25, looking for a nice and welcoming family, starting from May - mid of June. Experienced in childcare. A former preschool intern for one whole year.

Hi, I am Athena Redoquierro from the Philippines. I would like to be an au pair preferably in the country of Denmark. I would like to start probably from first week of May to mid June.

I am a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education. Since my second year in taking this course I am already exposed in childcare mostly focusing on their personal development as well as their well-being and assisting their daily needs like feeding the kids, teach them proper care of themselves, teaching them the daily lessons, values and play with them. My main role is to become the second parent of the kids and a loving teacher as well.

I also have my nieces and small cousins like 3-4 year-olds. I am the one who takes care of my niece when it comes in preparing her and bring her to school and sometimes fetching her. So I have prior experience in childcare.

I can also do light to average housekeeping. I can wash clothes by machine, I can vacuum the floor, clean the rooms including the bathrooms, wipe the tables, wash the dishes, prepare the food for the children, bring them to and from the school, I can also tutor them and play outside with them. And also can do extra tasks like going to the market or grocery store to buy something for the family. I can be a daughter, a big sister and a good friend and a teacher to everyone.

I am fond of learning new things. I love to meet new people and learn from them. From the culture, language, and places. I love bicycling, I love to read and listen to music. I love going outside and see places.

So, to the future Host Family that will sponsor and host me as an au pair, I would like you to know that I am too excited now to meet you and become part of your awesome family and stay with you for a whole year of fun and experience.
