Au pair from Ireland now living in France. My name is Ben, 26, I am great with kids and animals. Looking for a nice family to work with starting as soon as possible.

My name is Ben. I am a 26 year old male. I have recently moved to Amiens from Glasgow with my girlfriend who has just started a job as a language assistant here. Before moving to France I worked as an ecologist (working with the environment and wildlife) in Scotland.
I am very excited to experience France and working as an au pair would be a fantastic way to immerse myself into the culture as I am sure the children could teach me a thing or two about the country and the language.
My first language is English and I am in the process of learning French although I am still a beginner. I am hoping that living in France will show a marked improvement on my understanding of the language.
My child care experience has been an informal one of babysitting for neighbours or looking after my younger cousins.
In my leisure time I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, playing rugby and being out in nature. When the weather forces me to stay indoors I like to read, play guitar or watch movies. My favourite things to do as a child were jigsaws, drawing and putting on performances with my two younger sisters.
I have a flat with my girlfriend in Amiens so I would not require any live-in arrangements with host families and I am flexible with my working hours so could work evenings if needed.
