Hello Hostfamily!

My name is Linda, I am 19 years old and come from Germany.I am currently living as an Au Pair in a New Zealand family and would go that far to describe myself as a member of their family. :)

I am very interested in travelling and get to know new cultures but also in working with children. This is my reason for becoming an au pair; you are having a lot of fun and getting a lot of new experiences by combining both.

I also have a couple of other hobbies. In my freetime I love to do windsurfing, go swimming or just relaxing at the beach. I am a very social person, so I love to hang out with my friends but I am also always interested in getting to know new people. Something I always like to do is cooking, especially trying out new recipes and reading fantasy books.

I would describe myself as an open-minded, friendly and caring person, who can laugh about herself.

Regarding my childcare experience, before I started to work as an au pair, I have done lots of babysitting with children between the age of 2 1/2 to 12 years. I also have done an internship in a children's home with a group of mentally disabled children (age between 4 - 14 years). Currently I am working with two boys (3 and 10 years old); I am working for them already over 9 month and I can tell that I already improved myself a lot by working with these amazing boys and I hope that I can improve my childcare experience even more by working for your family.

I really enjoy working with kids. They always make me laugh and as much I can teach them, I can alway learn from them as well!

I will end my job in New Zealand at the end of June/ beginning of July and I would be able to stay in your family for minimum 6 month.
