Dear Host Family, I will be graduating with a degree in Family and Child Development and minor in Psychology this May, 2018. I have experience as a Preschool Teacher, Toddler Teacher, and newborn caregiver. I have experience as a Camp Counselor at a camp here in the US for youth students ages 12-18 years old. I aspire to be a Speech Language Pathologist and if I am accepted to a Speech Language Pathology program, I will begin studying for this is late August/early September. This Summer (2018), I would like to spend my time overseas in a Spanish speaking country. I am currently studying Spanish, but starting at the beginner level. I want to learn Spanish and immerse myself into a Spanish-speaking country to gain skills I can implement in my life and career going forward. I have a passion for culture and and for the holistic well-being of others, especially children, as they are at the age where their wellness is formed. It would be ideal for me to have an opportunity with a family who enjoys the outdoors and/or would allow me to go out to see the country of which I will be living in. I value fresh foods, exercise, laughing, reading, and compassion. As an Au Pair, you can expect me to have a strong work ethic. I do not have to be asked to do something I see needs to be done. You can also expect me to be patient with your children and to want to enjoy moments with them. When providing childcare, I believe the relationship between the caregiver and child is important for the development of the child. I would love to learn more about what you are looking for!
